apt-X Live audio coding
apt-X Live has been specifically designed to satisfy the audio coding requirements of digital wireless microphones. The patented novel underlying architecture provides further levels of audio data rate reduction and an enhanced degree of error tolerance, all with extremely low latency.
The apt-X Live auido codec can deliver a single channel of 24bit, 48kHz audio in 120kbps with a codec latency of less than 1.9ms.
The framework of apt-X Live audio coding ensures a high resilience to random bit errors. Additional techniques employed within apt-X Live will also reduce the significance of these errors and the magnitude of the effect of certain signals. The apt-X Live decoder has a signal input from the RF link which can aid the management of bit errors or problems with the link.
apt-X Live LBR
apt-X Live LBR is an optimised version of apt-X Live that can allow reduced bit rate operation. 16bit, 24kHz audio can be compressed to a bit rate of 48kbps whilst maintaining the low latency operation of 2ms.
